Jakob Wested is a post-doctorate researcher at University of Copenhagen’s Centre for Advanced Studies in Biomedical Innovation Law (CeBIL). CeBIL is a collaborative research programme working with the research groups on orphan drugs and precision medicine. Wested has previously worked on IP rights and EU regulatory issues related to synthetic biology, particularly CRISPR technology, as well as clinical development and approval of medicinal products. His current work focuses on mapping the life cycle of an orphan drug and the intersection of institutions, incentive mechanisms and domains such as precision medicine.
