Sherry Carty has more than 17 years of experience in the patent field, working with companies ranging from small startups to large multinationals. As director of IP at Profusa, she leads the creation of a robust patent portfolio to protect the company’s innovative biosensor technology. Through her patent consulting practice, Carty provides patent strategy and an inside-company perspective, helping her clients build strong patent portfolios, and use outside attorneys more effectively. She has a PhD in biochemistry from Duke University, and a BS in biochemistry from Virginia Tech. Carty is a registered US Patent Agent.
