Dr Pat Morris focuses on life sciences and biotechnology patent matters, with an emphasis on biologic and small molecule therapeutics. He has worked with biotechnologies that include genome-editing, next-generation sequencing, genetically engineered microorganisms and genetic diagnostic methods. His clients range from startups to publicly traded pharmaceutical companies, as well as private academic and research institutions. He counsels clients on all phases of the patent life cycle, working to develop strategies for obtaining, defending and monetising patent portfolios. Morris has also been involved in numerous inter partes reviews, interferences, and appeals before the PTAB.
