Atsuko Polzin joined Scholar Rock in September 2016. She has more than 13 years of experience in building and managing complex IP portfolios. She served as head, IP and senior counsel R&D at Seqirus. She was responsible for Novartis’ global strategy and management of patent portfolios related to adjuvants and viral vaccines, and provided legal counsel on litigation, licensing and government contracts. Polzin previously practised IP law in the life sciences group at Choate, Hall and Stewart. She earned her JD degree from Suffolk University Law School and a PhD in neuroscience from Tufts University.
