Emily Hayes handles patent work in the life sciences field with a focus on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. She has experience in many areas of biotechnology, especially relating to protein, nucleic acid and antibody-based therapeutics, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in these and related fields, as well as handling oppositions and appeals at the EPO. Her clients range from small biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to large multinationals and UK and US universities and research charities. Hayes has a special interest in US patent law, having spent time on secondment to a US firm in 2010.
