Suganda Jutamulia is a fellow of the Optical Society of America and the International Society for Optics and Photonics. He has a PhD in electronics engineering from Hokkaido University (Japan). Prior to practising as a registered patent agent before the USPTO, he was an instructor and professor in academic institutions, and an engineer and researcher working in industry. He is coauthor or coeditor of several books. He has chaired several technical conferences, and served on editorial boards. He has written almost 150 journal and conference publications, and 16 US patents.
