Michael Crawford is CEO and co-founder of Describe Data an InsurTech company that uses new data sources, machine learning and technology to build products for the global insurance industry. Michael originally trained as an actuary but has worked exclusively in finance based technology roles for his whole career. Michael has worked with international insurance companies, technology based start-ups, IT and actuarial consultancies. Describe Data were selected for the second cohort of the Lloyd's Lab and during their time in Lloyd's used their expertise to build tools that enable the "Bionic Underwriter of the Future".
