Adam Rimmer first saw the potential of parametric (event-based) insurance while working at RMS, the world’s largest catastrophe modelling firm. While there, he and FloodFlash co-founder Ian Bartholomew structured and modelled triggers on over $2 billion of parametric insurance products and catastrophe bonds to protect governments and large corporations in the US and around the world. They are now using those same principles on a scalable platform to provide affordable cover to the millions who need it most. Rimmer holds an MA in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge.
