David Nichols started his career in Aviva (Norwich Union) before joining Zurich in February 2004 holding a number of positions including head of small business, head of performance management and director of technical operations. With effect from January 2016, he was appointed to the role of Zurich’s UKGI chief operating officer bringing with him drive, experience and inherent customer focus to help operations and technology continue to play a vital role in the Zurich business. In July 2017 Nichols was appointed chief claims officer, and has end-to-end responsibility for the claims operation within the UK.
