David Galaun graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge, with a Master’s degree in engineering before completing an MSc in IP at Queen Mary, University of London. He joined the IP department of BT where he spent almost five years, qualifying as a European Patent Attorney in 2004 and a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2006. In the summer of 2006 Galaun joined NDS, which was acquired by Cisco in mid-2012. He currently manages Cisco’s optics & photonics patent portfolio, and also works in the IP transactions and IP disputes teams.
