The Catastrophe Risk Exchange (CATEX) develops and maintains web-based insurance and reinsurance software applications that process more than $6 billion annually in premium and claims. CATEX licenses its software to reinsurance brokers, managing general agencies, delegated underwriting authority partners and reinsurers worldwide.

CATEX software includes its award-winning Pivot Point transaction application, which manages the full scope of a re/insurance transaction, and its Data Vera application. Data Vera imports virtually any file format. Such formats can contain standards-based data (ACORD, Lineage, ER3001, etc) or proprietary/user-generated (risks, settlements, claims, bordereaux, third party system exports, triangles, exposure data, event loss tables, schedules, etc) data. Data Vera can export data in any file type/format regardless of the format in which it was received. This means, for example, an XML bordereau file can be exported as an Excel triangle file.

CATEX was founded in 1994 and has offices in Princeton and London.
