As group head of digital at Hiscox, Tim Buchanan’s role is to deliver quality and consistent customer digital experiences across a diverse product and geography portfolio of business.
Involved with digital since 1996, he is interested in how technology increasingly empowers customers, and manages the growing impact on business models, structure and propositions.
He has managed digital functions and businesses in South America, Europe and the UK across technology, media and telecommunications, financial services and entertainment industries.Minh Q. Tran, General Partner, Europe, AXA Strategic Ventures
Minh Q. Tran is a venture capitalist (VC) and entrepreneur of 20 years’ experience. As general partner, he brings his unique international expertise and passion for entrepreneurship to the service of funding great startups.
He has lived in Asia, New York, Finland and Paris, and worked for several prestigious VC funds (Bertelsmann Ventures, Nokia Ventures, Truffle Capital) where he led successful investments in tech, media and mobile ventures worldwide. He now sits on the board of several tech companies and focuses on fintech and insurtech at AXA Strategic Ventures.
Tran is an MBA graduate from INSEAD. He regularly writes and curates news on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the state of the fintech industry on his blog ‘The #Insurtech #VC’ (www.minhtran.fr).Reza Khorshidi, Chief Scientist (Global R&D and AI Practices), AIG
Dr Reza Khorshidi is the chief scientist at AIG, leading the company’s AI and insurtech innovations, as well as one of the co-leads of the Deep Medicine programme at the University of Oxford’s Martin School (focused on healthcare innovation, and the use of AI in digital health ecosystems).
He obtained his DPhil in computational neuroscience and machine learning from the University of Oxford in 2010, and since then has been leading teams, researches and disruptive innovation projects in both academia and industry.Filippo Sanesi, Head of Research and Partner Management, Startupbootcamp Insurtech
Filippo Sanesi is head of research and partner management at Startupbootcamp Insurtech. He is responsible for the international scouting process of the best insurtech startups, research of new trends, and relationship and communication between startups and corporate partners. His aim is to build solid collaborations with insurtech startups and corporates, often traveling worldwide to reach out to them in their native countries.
Sanesi holds an international MBA and has experience in a variety of different business areas, such as international marketing, business development, business strategies, and startups’ growth techniques. He gained his experience working as a consultant for firms and marketing agencies as well as within the startup industry.
Among his interests are how AI will impact financial services; the Asian insurtech ecosystem; innovation and its perception among different cultures and businesses; and new technologies.Joao Felix is brand and marketing mentor at StartupBootCamp. He was formerly a global marketing manager with extensive experience in creating, launching and growing brands within global fast-moving consumer goods corporations such as L’Oréal, Kerry Group and Walgreens Boots Alliance. His work has spanned the world across more than 15 countries for the past ten years.
Felix is presently engaged with several startups and SMEs in developing the most effective brand strategies and marketing plans.
Having obtained MA (RCA-Royal College of Art) and MBA (Nova/MIT) degrees, he seamlessly tackles business, marketing and creative challenges.
Alexandre Rispal, Associate Director, Moonshot-Internet (Société Générale Insurance)
Alexandre Rispal is associate director, Moonshot-Internet (Société Générale Insurance) and the former head of R&D and innovation at Sogessur, Société Générale Insurance. He is also the president of the finance and insurance club Adetem (French National Marketing Association).
Rispal has more than 10 years of experience with Société Générale, the Macif Group, Crédit Agricole, and AXA in marketing and innovation management, operational, strategic, products, digital, social media, disruptive projects, partnerships with startups, and creation of services, recruiting, training and management of experts.
