The global patent protection status quo is changing. The US – generally considered to have been pro-patent owner in the past, is currently perceived as perhaps less friendly in its treatment of intellectual property owners. At the same time, countries across Asia are accelerating their pro-patent policies, resulting in the region fast gaining a reputation as patent friendly territory.

Part of the dynamic ASEAN region, Singapore is fast-realising its ambitions of becoming a regional IP hub. And as an IP gateway to Asia, we have selected Singapore as the ideal location in which to bring together the IP counsel of established pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as the legal counsel of fledgling life-sciences companies – along with global IP experts, to present, discuss and debate today’s critical patent considerations across Asia and further afield, over the course of just one invaluable day.

More than 50% of attendees are in-house counsel
Brought to you by the publisher of Life Sciences IP Review, LSPN Asia follows on from the hugely successful LSPN Europe and North America conferences, attended by upwards of one hundred in-house pharma and biotech counsel.
"Very experienced speakers and interesting panel discussions."
In-house counsel

In the same way as at the conferences in London and Boston, the Singapore conference will take a broad global view of the patent protection landscape and then delve deeper into the regional topics of specific current interest. Extended round table discussion groups enable a couple of hours to be spent in small groups, sharing views on a range of topics of your choosing. For fledgling bio-pharma manufacturers, the conference will feature an open clinic to enable in-house counsel to quiz specialist private patent attorneys from around the globe on their own specific pressing patent issues.

Our Patent Network events are designed to be intimate and as such, places are strictly limited. If you need to learn more about Asia’s varying patent jurisdictions and meet face-to-face with your in-house patent counsel and private practice attorney peers, I urge you to register without delay.
